Microgreens: Small Greens, Big Wins!

Ever heard of microgreens? These little wonders are about to rock your culinary world and elevate your health game, all from the comfort of your own kitchen.





I first started noticing videos of microgreens popping up on my for you page on Tik Tok and immediately went down the rabbit hole, because I love anything healthy for you. Then I discovered that microgreens have more concentrated nutrients than the full grown vegetables, which I love.


Microgreens are young vegetable greens harvested when they are just a few inches tall. They are more mature than sprouts but smaller than baby greens. Think of them as the adolescent stage of plants. These miniature greens come in a variety of flavors, including radish, broccoli, sunflower, kale, and many more.





These potent greens are rich in vitamins C, E, and K, as well as beta-carotene, iron, and potassium. They also boast a high concentration of antioxidants that can help protect your body from cellular damage and support overall well-being.




I went a bit further and found out that you can actually grow them right on your kitchen counter.
